My answer:
I made my first website waaay back in the day on Geocities. It was a fansite to Death of the Endless from Neil Gaiman's Sandman. It's so long gone you can't even find it on the Wayback machine, not that I even remember what the address was. I had a bunch of fandom websites through the years when webrings and then fanlistings were all the rage, and I joined Neopets and a bunch of BBS boards for various fandoms like Harry Potter.
(I am so old I remember AOL chatrooms and buying shitty fansubs of anime on VHS using money orders. They were sent to me through snail mail. I had all of Gundam Wing and the quality was decidedly iffy. Does anyone remember Spandex and Braids, the GW yaoi fansite that launched the typical design trend for fandom websites for years to come?)
I was on Livejournal for years and years back before it was taken over and subject lines were abolished. I had both personal journals and RP journals. The personal journals were more or less abandoned, but the RP journals followed me here to Dreamwidth.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some very prominent sites I was a member of at some point, but I've been on the internet since, uh... 1995?
Get off my lawn, etc, etc.
